array_hash_bytes_hashed Function

Number of encoded bytes consumed so far.

This counts the encoded stream, not the storage size of the input: each real costs 14 bytes and each complex 28, whatever the kind. It is a cheap sanity check that a checkpoint walk visited everything it was supposed to visit.
